On top of Doi Tung, this royal villa built by princess Srinagarindra, who felt in love with this place and greatly helped to develop it into thriving local community. This house was a place where she used to spend her time while staying here. Informative...More

Worth a drive up to this attraction. The attraction consists of a garden as well as the previous king's mother's residence. It is evident the love of nature in the presentation of the garden and also the residence itself. The residence has a Swiss chalet...More

The royal Villa, once belonging to the mother of the late king Rama IX and the adjacent flower park are certainly worth a visit. A nice building with a simple interior of which the audio tour gives an explanation. You can also walk a hanging...More

I’ve been in Thailand working and traveling for four months and Doi Tung has been one of my favorite adventures. The gardens and summer villa are absolutely breathtaking. I was skeptical about the audio tour of the villa and hall of inspiration but both are...More

The villa was on a hill that looked over a valley with beautiful decoration and gardens. The wooden main hall exhibited all about The Princess Mother, and I felt admiring her and her works, as well as understanding more about her, the royal family. A...More

Pair this with the 101 tea plantation and the hill tribe markets on your day tour from Chiang Rai. Probably need to spend about 2 - 2.5 hours here in total.

A lovely Swiss Style (yes Swiss) villa for the Thai Royal family. Respectful dress required. Well worth a visit to see/hear the impact of Royalty on the local population.

Really nice place to visit. This place has 3 sites. The royal palace, king's mother garden, and the royal exhibition. This is a must visit place to see and learn about the royal family.

Amazing gardens and great view (when there is no fog). The Villa is beautiful and the audio guide helps to make most of the visit. Would recommend it!
