The gardens are beautiful. We also did the "Walk in the Trees". It was only about a 15 minute walk, but was interesting and fun. Wear pants or long shorts as they buckle you into a harness. Be prepared- the drive is steep!

The weather was very nice when I was there. They provided different points and spot to visit (with a fee), such as Doi Tung Palace and Mae FA Luang garden.

Doi Tung is a beautiful spot to visit with family/friends. Wonderful garden, rich variety of plants. You drive up about 10k from the main road, so it gets nice and cooler. Restaurant is good too.
