This is a great no frills local pub with a good selection of beers wines and spirits to choose from, It also has the added benefit of being next door to a decent Indian restaurant should you feel hungry after a few drinks.

I’m always wary of a pub with no windows but there is generally a good atmosphere in here. It does “kick-off” from time-to-time, as do most proper drinkers pubs. Not the best beer or dram either but perfectly adequate and in the absence of anything else beggars can’t be choosers. Give it a try.

Living local i’ve Been in a few times but have never felt like visiting it more frequently because it’s not a pleasant place to spend time and a visitor doesn’t get the warmest of welcome. It’s a real shame as the village could really do with a decent pub and should be big enough to support one. Sadly the commercial in its current form isn’t it. No draft beer furnishing is old and tired and the whole place needs a face lift. Part of pub has been for a number of years rented out to a local Indian which I assume provides additional income to the land lord which offsets the sparse clientele. Perhaps they are happy with this situation but I,d rather either drink elsewhere even if it entails a train ride to inverurie or a drive to Premnay. I write this genuinely hoping improvements could be made and if they were i’m Sure it would pay dividends.

Would have liked to see a more welcoming local pub, disappointed to see this wasn't the case. Won't be visiting again. Not very disabled friendly
