What to do when it rains

Lovely place for food and great wines. On a clearer day the view would have been spectacular. A gem we found. A must to stop at.

Great Wine, Wonderful Views
Apr 2021
The wine is so good that many of their varieties are sold out, but I enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chardonnay on the terrace with views to the Stirling Ranges.

Great wine, poor cafe
Jan 2021
winw tasting was great, but the Cafe let it down, not welcoming at all. We missed the closing time by a couple of minutes due to sampling and buying their wines. We were told no food now kitchen closed. Not good business sense.

A Nice Experience
Mar 2021
Had tastings and lunch at this winery and enjoyed both . The restaurant has great views of the surrounding countryside . The food was well cooked and tasty even though the menu was limited . Their wines were nice and it was a nice experience

Not happy
Mar 2021 • Couples
We visited this winery on the 10th of March, we were going for wine tasting and lunch, we walked in and had a look at the lovely view and the owner came out and asked us where we were going to sit, we said we hadn't decided yet, he turned around and walked off and said let me know when you've decided not a very nice way to speak to your patrons, then the lady came out and said don't just come in here and use the toilets like a lot of people do!! Very rude to talk to people like this in front of other diners, on that note we turned around and walked out, their loss, we were a group of 9 who eats a lot and drinks a lot, needless to say they missed out

Good food with great views.
Jan 2021
Small menu but the food was good, struggled with ingredients because of deliveries due to COVID, this meant a few of the options on the menu were not available at the time. View overlooking the land behind was spectacular and just what the doctor ordered after a quick hike up to the skywalk earlier.

Grea5 winery and food

Great little winery. Very friendly owners who also provide some delicious food options. Sit outside and take in the views over the winery to the Stirling Range in the distance

View with lunch and wine
Oct 2020 • Couples
Ironwood is my favourite Porongorup winery. The hosts are very friendly and of course have great wines. Light lunches are also available with views across to the Stirling ranges. It is very easy to spend an hour or two at this location enjoying a meal and tasting their wines before loading up the car ( with wines) and heading off for the next adventure.

Beautiful Location, Great Wines, Fantastic Food
Jul 2020
This winery is situated just on the outskirts of the Porongurup settlement on top of a hill with a wonderful view of a valley with a dam and the vineyards in the distance. The wines were consistently good across their range, with their riesling, reserve chardonnay and shiraz my personal favourites. The couple who own this place are very friendly and knowledgeable, and they serve up great food for lunch. This is the second time we have been and we are sure to go again when we are back down in this area.

Great place for lunch
Jun 2020 • Couples
We stopped here for a tasting after doing a walk and was very impressed. The wines are delicious and the food enticing. We had a lovely lunch on their verandah enjoying the wine food and their vista of the Stirling Range.
