The Old Mill was destined for demolition in 1957 but it was rescued by a generous benefactor. The Old Mill dates from 1833, making it one of the state's oldest structures -- the Swan River Colony was founded in 1829. It's an impressive building. It's...More

This is well worth a visit, it is one of the oldest colonial buildings in Perth. Lots of interesting information on signs and staff are always friendly and helpful. There is the windmill and an old house. Entry is a gold coin donation.

This piece of history stands forlorn by the side of the freeway now. It seems out of place, but it is good that planners had the foresight to preserve it. It has become a landmark and is well worth a visit.
