I arrived at the Croft Castle estate very shortly after the grounds opened at 10am on Early May Bank Holiday Monday. The place was quiet - I got a nice shady parking spot under the trees not far from the entry kiosk, later returning to...More

The Castle is very interesting and the rooms within have been kept very well and are fascinating to study. The site offers a variety of Woodland walks also, including an ancient tree walk too.

Visited this place for the second time. The staff accommodated my disabled relative very well, so we were all able to enjoy the scenery and house.

Visited on a very hot afternoon of the May Bank Holiday Monday. Plenty of parking, luckily in the shade of a row of large trees before receiving a friendly and informative welcome by NT volunteers. 17th century castle, where photos can be taken inside, encompassing...More

The castle and gardens itself were standard. I prefer castle ruins and old-fashioned medieval décor so Croft castle did not really interest me as much as Ludlow Castle 10 miles away. I felt like the entrance fee was quiet expensive for what it was, and...More

A national trust property. Well worth a visit with interesting house/castle, lots of lovely grounds and good cafe. Watch out for guided tours (limited number). We had a tour of the attics. Tours of the cellars also available- both free.

We visited on a drizzly grey April day. The castle itself is fantastic to walk around and learn the family history as you pass from room to room. The little church is very peaceful. The grounds are great to walk around and the walled garden...More

Took grandchildren over Easter break, nice to have a Beatrice Potter theme trail and choice of prizes at end. Helpful advise from volunteers on ground conditions. Nice playground for younger children. Must say Easter activities for children across NT properties worth the annual membership fee.
