Perhaps I’ve come at the wrong timing — weekday afternoon and the temperature on the street was climbing to a scorching 41°C. There was hardly anyone on the street. The buildings were quaint and we had a walk along the dock.

After the lunch at the Pancake Shop, we went for a stroll. It was sunny and pleasant. But we had to be careful that my friend’s 5-year-old grandson wouldn’t go too close to the edge of the docks.

This area is a great place particularly for family outings. At reasonable costs you can go up the lighthouse, visit the SA Maritime Museum, have a tour of the clipper ship, and cruise on the Dolphin Explorer or now and then on the ST Yelta...More

Port docks offer plenty of nautical and historical interest. Check out the Falie and other sailing vessels. The Dolphin Cruise is a fantastic family trip along the Port River. Bottle-nosed dolphins are used to hearing the craft and are always sighted. Some research before you...More

Love the historic wharf area and docks...a wonderful place to spend the day. Plenty to do and see around here with several museums and the historic district.

On disembarking our cruise ship there was a band playing on the quay to greet us whilst outside the immediate port area there were a host of volunteers assisting the Metro staff to welcome and help us. Some stopped the traffic so we could cross...More

It’s always nice to stroll along the Docks. It was quiet, when I visited. So I enjoyed a peaceful atmosphere in a warm autumn sun.

The riverside walk is clean & wide & great to walk along. Do cross by the bridge & go along to the old mill: the other half of the port often gets missed. The City of Adelaide restoration project is well worth a visit. There...More

Lovely walk through the Port with a few boats in the harbour. The One and All is worth having a look over and the Steve Erwin was also in port.
