This is with regards to a concern we have to trying to find a solution to from 12th Dec'22 onward regarding refund of an additional amount we have paid for the Canyoneering activity
Team Kawasan cheated us of $100 that we paid them additionally which they had promised to return to us via net transfer. However it has been almost 7 months now and there is no update from their end clearly indicating the lack of professionalism.
As per details available with Ms Claire from the company and shared on WhatsApp - we paid an additional USD 100 ~ 5400 PHP to the account of the company via wire transfer as an advance . This transfer was made for the canyoneering activity before the activity date. However due to delays in the same reflecting in the bank account of Kawasan canyoneering - based on their verbal confirmation that the additional money would be returned we paid the full amount for the activity in cash at the office in Badian as it was a requirement from their end.
It has now been over 7 months and we have been following up for a refund of the mentioned amount however to no avail. I have stopped receiving responses to my WhatsApp texts as well ,which leave us feeling duped.
Stay away. Or make sure you don't go through this. Don't make any advance payments specially online .

Beware of this scammers. We arrived this June and Kawasan Canyoneering didn’t mention that it has been close for a week. We were already 2 hours traveling to Oslob and they informed us that is close that day. Upon arrival the canyoneering office, they also said “card reader is not working” and pay cash instead. We were annoyed because we don’t carry 21,000 pesos cash. Then after few minutes, the card reader was working, then paid credit with 6% additional charge. They didn’t coordinate the last activity and the island activity was close. They tried again to bargain for another trip to keep the payment but we said “NO.” We cancelled the credit payment (probably that is the reason why they want cash). The whole day was drive around Cebu area and so tired. Take note, they said that they will “blotter us for cancelling the payment.” We will sue them for the flight, hotel and travel expenses. They don’t know who they were dealing with. They didn’t even paid for the Oslob entrance fee. The driver paid for the Oslob and travel gas. We paid him instead. Such a shame.

Kawasan Falls are an awesome spot where you may spend time with friends and family. In addition to its natural beauty, Kawasan Falls has grown to be one of the most well-known attractions in Cebu. In my experienced, jumping off rock cliffs, small water falls, swimming in bluish cool waters are indeed frisson.

Great experience. Had a wonderful experience with 2 excellent guides where where extremely helpful, patient, and excellent photo takers. My guides recognized I was a beginner and needed extra help and instantly helped and guided. I did not think was going be able to finish but with the help of my excellent guides I was able to and even got lots of amazing photos. My favorite part was not the Canyoneering itself but the zipline. I wish the zipline was longer. My only dislike was the amount of rocks but what can you so in a mostly natural adventure.

Rain or shine, this is must when visiting Moalboal. Staff were all very friendly, took lots of great photos, and knew when to hold our hand and when to let us do our own thing. It rained heavily during our canyoneering experience, which arguably made it better as the water rushed down the river and rain drops dripped from stalactites.
Don’t miss this!

My wife and I were walking around panagsama beach area close to the gecko hotel and came across a small group of people going canyoneering. We decided to go and paid the 1,200 peso fee. We then took a multicab to a location close to the starting point and were fitted with a helmet and life vest. There were 6 in our group so we had two guides. When we arrived at the starting point we had to walk for about 20 minutes to reach the river. The first jump was 3 meters. I did the jump but my wife was scared so she walked around the jump area and meet us in the water. We then climbed over numerous rocks and other obstacles to reach the second jump. 2 meters. We all did the second jump. Then more strenuous rock, Boulder climbing to the third jump. I think 2 meters. The group in front of us went first. Their guide instructed the large male to go backwards. He did and when he surfaced, I could tell he was in alot of pain and holding his lower back. The water is shallow here maybe 4 feet. We all jumped in with our knees bent and were fine. Then more jungle rock climbing to the next jump 7 meters. My wife and I passed. We went around. We also passed the highest jump of 10 meters. The whole experience was totally exhausting and very strenuous. Our two guides were great and very helpful. Our legs hurt for days after all the climbing over slippery rocks and steep stairs. Be warned that this is a very dangerous activity. You can be hurt or even killed. I personally would not do it again. I am a fit 62 year old male and my wife is a fit 46 year old female. Good luck to you if you go. Take care.

Unreal excursion with beautiful sights, gorgeous waterfalls, and a magical atmosphere.
This is highly recommended! It’s 3-4 hours away from the Cebu airport, and is a full day of fun! You’ll have a tour guide to walk you through the entire way through the canyons. The guides are extremely accommodating and caring, ensuring you never miss a photo opp. You’ll have so much content for IG, you won’t know what to post if you could only choose 1 pic or video.
There are small jumps that are 1-3 metres > 10 metres. It’s a full-day trip and you can zip line to the falls for an extra 60 pesos (this is highly recommend or you’ll walk 45 min under the scorching sun). If you’re hungry there are small food stalls half way through (and beyond) that consist of snacks, drinks and street food BBQ. The entire distance for the canyons is about 7.5km walk and 60+ flights and according to Apple Fitness, 60+ flights.
Everything was really gorgeous, and reminiscent of being Avatar-esque or Jurassic Park.

We were recommended this company by friends we met in the Philippines. They did not fail to meet expectations. Great communication confirming pickup times and arrangements. Very professional with regards to Health & safety. Very fortunate to have two guides (videographer !). Zip lining great fun. Reymar and Bernard looked us and made the whole morning great fun and exhilarating, and even got my wife to do the 10m jump. Great photos, videos, jumps, swimming and insane scenery. A must do !!!

My wife and I signed up for the 3 hour tour that included multiple waterfalls, 2 rope swings and even a 30 foot concrete jumping platform. Yikes! We paid 1,200 Php per person and it included lunch. Our guide Micho was super friendly and helpful. Typhoon Odette wiped out several bridges so there are lots of treacherous river crossing points. He definitely helped to keep us safe. Micho was also an excellent photographer. Still can’t believe that we jumped off that platform. Scary but super glad that we did it. Highly recommended!

In the canyoneering tour, I know some jump is optional, but are there any jump compulsory? Because I saw on some other local tour website, they said there's a required 4 meter jump.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for this informative review.
Could you help me with the hotel that you were staying, where the pickup/drop for the Canyoneering was arranged? I am planning a trip that includes this adventure, and your answer will be of great help!
Thanks,
Dipankar

I stayed in Cebu City at a downtown hotel and then took a taxi to the south terminal bus station and got a bus to Kawasan Falls which was over 3 hours. Next time I would stay in the vicinity of Kawasan Falls so that one can get up early to go Canyoneering as it gets busy by lunchtime there. Have a good trip
Hi, we will be in Cebu on 25th December 2019. Will you be running your tours on that date.

Hello!I really want to have the canyoneering experience since i believe i would regret it if i didn't. My only concern is that i am really afraid of heights, even watching some canyoneering videos made my palms sweat. So is it possible to do the tour but if one of any of the jumps is to scary to me can i skip it? I know the tallest jump is optional but are the rest 100% required? I know the easier route would be just not doing it but i don't want to miss the experience.

Besides Cebu City, do you provide transport to Kawasan from other locations on the island of Cebu (Moalbal, Badian, Alegria, Oslob? If so, are the rates the same?

Hello yes we also offer van trasnfers but for the other activities like whaleshark, Sumilon, Alegria is the same rate :)

Is there any rappelling or ropework on this tour? Or is it essentially just walking up a path from the main falls to the top and gradually making your way down, making jumps along the way? How does it work?
Kawasan Canyoneering

Hello, in this course we dont have rappelling or ropework, its just merely walking, jumping and swiming

Are there other routes at the Kawasan canyoneering if you don’t want to jump or is it compulsory to do the jumps in order to complete the course.
My husband wants to do the canyoneering but I am too scared of the course and am not sure what to expect. Any Advice or tips?

Your guide will inform you how deep each jump is when your approaching. It's always a good idea to build your confidence up starting with baby jumps, and before you know it your a seasoned pro.
