We went in June and I would imagine that this characterful village gets overrun in peak season. There are a selection of craft shops and a number of eateries, some set on the creek, where oysters and muscles are landed.

Lovely place, one of the most cute quaint places with lots of lovely little shops and great restaurants. My kids tolerated it, I loved it.

This village is very picturesque with several cafes and resturants as well as art shops and pottery areas. There are also many little boutiques The main street is on an incline but is easy to walk and should be ok for wheel chairs as well.

Mornac is a small beautifully kept white village on the Seudre, full of tiny lanes, craft shops and restaurants built around the small port. The area is famed for its oyster beds

This place made me think of painters and other artists and indeed you do have galleries and also little shops where they sell selfmade jewellry. There is a nice atmosphere and I would go back to get that summery feeling again.

There is but it is for a tourist train. It is to enjoy the view in the region, not used as a means of transport.
