Great people, great music, great pints. Fantastic food and nice for watching sports too. Nice and cosy during the winter with open fires, and a little bit crazy during the summer out in the slick garden area, which is a hidden gem!

Lovely welcoming pub. Friendly staff. Beautiful open fire. Had a good few pints of Guinness with the family. Would definitely recommend this pub. We will visit again on our travels to Birr.

We had a fun evening at the pub. Comfortable and friendly environment with live music playing in the background, however it was Friday so not sure that always happens. Great place to stop for a drink.

Two people suggested we go to the Chestnut Public House to watch the World Cup Rugby game. Although our team lost, we had a great time at the Chestnut. The owner brought around free sandwiches at half-time, and the patrons were all friendly. If you...More
