- Bernie SBelfast, United Kingdom660 contributionsAfternoon visitWe visited while staying in Inchydoney. We are three senior citizens. We’ll worth a visit for about an hour or so. Really great reproduction of local towns. We did not have grandchildren with us but there is an outdoor playground and you can drive boats (at an extra charge) or operate diggers ( also extra charge). Cafe and toilets available and also small gift shop. Easy parking and plenty of signboards giving information.Visited July 2023Traveled with friendsWritten July 3, 2023
- Travelhog212Dublin, Ireland119 contributionsA surprising highlight to our trip!Amazing little place ! This place surprised me. The models were done to perfection and the park / area was immaculate. I do not think it was worth €30 entry however that been said the whole family really enjoyed it inc the tweens. Also when you see the level of work etc that needs to go into this I really can understand it. So would I recommend it, 100%Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 31, 2023
- AuroraHermanCork, Ireland17 contributionsPleasantly surprisedMy partner and I were there for an hour and a half. The miniatures are definitely worth seeing and the ticket prices are just right. The place is in good condition and taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised by the fully functioning drivable mini-boats which give you an opportunity to remotely operate them for quite a long time for just a euro.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 9, 2023
- Heather F17 contributionsA must seeAll our family really enjoyed our visit to The Model Railway Village. It's s a beautiful, well thought out display of model trains traveling around miniture local villages and towns. We also did the train ride around Clonakilty which was really enjoyable, plus we got told some of the history of the area while on our journeyVisited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 12, 2023
- NaomiDonDublin, Ireland21 contributionsA must see in ClonakiltyOur family (from 18 months to 69 years old) had a fantastic afternoon at the Model Railway Village. The model towns and train lines are fascinating the addition of the Alien Hunt had the adults (more so than the kids) really enthralled! The cafe and gift shop, indoor and outdoor play areas and train carriages see added bonuses. A trip round Clonakilty on "Choo Choo" the road train, is a must!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 12, 2023

Very poor experience here, why do parents have to pay for Xmas Polar Express when it is just for kids.! A Polish lady in reception caused a lot of unnecessary chaos.

My toddler fell in love with this place. Could not have enough of it. The little towns and trains are lovely and a treat for the whole family.

More for younger children. Quite expensive given that there is some model railway trains and could spend half an hour if you are not waiting for the road train.
