There are many things to do here. We made a reservation - large group of 20 people and we had a wonderful time. The winery is very small- really boutique with a fantastic vineyard 30ha. There are horses to be ride from the Lipizzaner breed, which are very friendly and pleasant to ride. But for me the best was the food- the bread was from own land from ancient Thracian grain, called limetz, the cheese and the yogurt are home made, the meat is from local producers, the vegetables, the pickles and all kind of Bulgarian specialties are authentic. I am am truly amazed! There are nice and clean rooms. The breakfast was to die for -the banitza - Bulgarian cheese, eggs and multi layer cake and the home made jams were fabulous!

What can I say the Salla Estate Winery located 45 minutes west of Varna is a little known gem that deserves to be heralded. My group of 6 friends have just returned from an overnight package that included a tour of the facilities followed by a fabulous tasting accompanied by a feast of produce that was both grown and cooked on the premises. Fabulous cheese, homemade bread and a moussaka to die for. Stephan one of the Salla family welcomed us as if we where longstanding friends and has a fabulous sense of humour,we really will be welcoming him into our circle of friends. Anylia is the heart of the brains and technical ability that could only produce wines of this calibre. I would really recommend the personal experience this small winery offers, the food is exceptional, the lippisanoes horses are a sight to behold and you get the extraordinary experience of riding them. At the end of a very good nights sleep we got to choose great wines to take home , Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Tramimer where our favourites. I am reluctant in a way to recommend this wonderful experience as I know popularity will change our future visits, but this team deserve the great publicity. Thank you to Stephan, Anylia and Vladimir.
