The weather has been unusually calm, warm and sunny for several weeks and Castlerock beach was just the place for a walk and paddle before settling down at the foot of the dunes with a coffee and a book. A perfect afternoon.

Very clean beach and easy to park. Stay on the sandy beach or head left to the rocks and caves but keep and eye on the incoming tide if you go left. Walk up to the Bann mouth and you might see Porpoises. Head inland...More

Took my 70+ year old mother in law for a walk, she’d never been to that beach before despite coming from Ballymoney! Nice flat beach with beautiful views. Was a wild enough day so we felt battered by the wind by the time we’d got...More

Vacationing from Canada the young ones loved the dunes and the beach. So clean. Grownups enjoyed the piers watching the tidal waves come in at the river Bann.

While we visited in October for a week in the village, the beach was great therapy for unwinding. Easy parking. Nice for morning and evening walks--keep track or you'll find yourself further away than you thought you had gone. Facilities also available near street parking....More

You will find it hard to get a beach that has it all. But the views, peace and quiet, pier and distance to walk can be enjoyed by all ages

Castlerock Beach is in a great location on the North Antrim Coast between some of the most popular 'must see' tourist attractions. Free parking, clean toilet facilities and places to eat nearby. The sand is very clean and the views are spectacular.
