It was lovely to find that we were allowed to use one side of the beach with our dogs during high season-a very sensible way to manage this facility so that everyone can enjoy such a lovely beach.

Castlerock beach is a sandy beach which goes down as far as the mouth of the River Bann - which is well worth a walk where you can also climb up on the side and walk to the where the river ends and sea begins....More

Having visited here with my parents almost 30 years ago, it was the perfect place to take our girls. I’m pleased to see the lifeguards patrolling as the currents can be strong, but the girls mostly paddled and played on the sand with Dad whilst...More

Beautiful sand dunes that seem to go on for miles and kept in immaculately clean condition. Castlerock beach is most definitely a hidden gem on the Antrim coast.

The weather has been unusually calm, warm and sunny for several weeks and Castlerock beach was just the place for a walk and paddle before settling down at the foot of the dunes with a coffee and a book. A perfect afternoon.

Very clean beach and easy to park. Stay on the sandy beach or head left to the rocks and caves but keep and eye on the incoming tide if you go left. Walk up to the Bann mouth and you might see Porpoises. Head inland...More

I can’t see why not as long as you extinguish it and dispose of it responsibly. There might be rules for use of the beach on a sign. If you can’t use it then take it home.
