We saw the door open and decided to have a quick look inside. The smell of a turf fire filled the air as Sean welcomed us in. What a treat to sit by the fire. It brought the cottage to life. Without the fire a place like this little gem feels dead. Sean is so enthusiastic and friendly and knowledgable. The US Rangers museum on site is a credit to all concerned. We will be back as we only called by the house opposite for some of their lovely free range eggs. Robert Stewart.

This place is great. The highlight has to be the tour guide Sean who made everyone very welcome and brought the whole place to life. He clearly loves the place and his enthusiasm is infectious.

Sean was the outstanding guide to both the cottage and to the US Rangers site. Surely no one is more knowledgeable or welcoming. Where else would you get the offer of a cup of tea. Everything was spotless and the US rangers was really good giving me a wealth of knowledge I didn’t know before. Well worth stopping at Boneybefore.
