Love coming here to clear my head and exercise. Could walk for miles! So many options of where to walk so it’s easy to get lost if not following a pre-assigned route. Just amazing in the good weather. Such natural beauty right on our doorstep.

Great variety of countryside to walk through. Lovely and soft underfoot. And great bird life too. The locals feed them regularly so they are really quite friendly! Pack a picnic and go!

Lovely park - had a nice trip on the train which my toddler enjoyed. Only downside was the temporary toilets as the toilet block is being refurbished - absolutely disgusting.

Beautiful country walks especially at this time of year with the lovely bluebells. The longer marked walks can be quite muddy in areas, but still worth it for the peace and tranquility.

Had a fantastic walk through a snowy Peatlands Park. Easily accessible from the M1. Great for dog walking. Well signed paths and walking routes. Helpful staff and great hot chocolate from the refreshment trailer.
