It was a pleasure to see at first hand this wonderful sculpture of this very typical Yorkshireman. He would often retort "You can always tell a Yorkshireman' but oyu can't tell him much!!!

Good location on the canal basin so can watch the boats. Whether it is a good likeness or not, I do not know as never met the man, so an average statue in an unusual pose.

Very nice location at Skipton canal basin. Nice place to sit and relax. You can hang your coat on the arm of this awful statue of a not very nice man and eat your fish and chips whilst watching the boats.

Full of action, we loved this work of art. Do try to see it if you are in the area. Well positioned by the canal basin.

Great statue of a great man. You can sit and watch the boats go by and think of some of the great matches that Freddie played in.
