A smaller version of bigger zoos but still many animals to see, including tigers and lions. The chimps are hilarious to watch. A fun outing whether you're 5 or 50. Great areas for kids to play or feed the goats. Very clean property all around.

Kids love this place! We get a family pass every year! They could go every day if we would take them!

I love Oaklawn. If you are comparing this to the Big City Zoos you will be disappointed but for a small province this is a great place.

We've been in a lot of animal parks, but were immediately taken with the organization & cleanliness of Oaklawn. Beautiful , well-kept, happy animals. Quite a variety for a smaller park. Would suggest being there between 4 pm - dusk which is feeding time.

A bit of a drive from Halifax but really worth it. They have a wide range of animals and you get to be close enough to keep the little one interested. You get to touch and feed some of them. Very good quality for the...More

I do remember a section for kids, like a park with the usual apparatus. Picnic areas as well.the 3 and 4 yr old would love the animals and wouldn't need anything else.
