I liked it although the prices were way too high for what the garden actually was. The fish were the best part so you can tell the garden was really small and not worth the price.

An interesting example of a Dutch Water Garden (think Hampton Court but much smaller). As life time NT members we were happy to pop in for quickish wander..probably not at their best in mid-August although yellow raspberries, in fruit and vegetables garden, which we were advised to try, were very good. Maybe a bit expensive if you were not NT members.
There is a nice picnic area and interesting collection of photos showing restoration work that has been carried out. Nearby church also worth a visit.

Went here based on recommendations from friends. Opened at 11.00am with very limited parking. Requires National Trust cards. Initially looks like you don’t need to spend very long here, but we managed to spend nearly two hours, examining the amazing range of plants, vegetables, fruit trees and the attached old church. Well worth a visit for those interested in gardens.

We had been out for a drive & as we are NT members saw this place as we past so decided to take a visit. It had been left derelict but the National Trust have restored it to its former beauty. It was such a delight to walk round, an ancient oak & a Tulip tree still in bloom something we have never seen before. Huge Carp in the water course who saw us & came to the surface, & beautiful water lilies. well worth a visit if you are passing. The Lady from NT also gave us a walk map ( which we returned afterwards) to walk from there to the river Severn which was very pleasant & did not take too long.

This is a very nice garden which was saved and restored by the National trust when the main house was knocked down. It is laid out in Dutch style with canals and flowerbeds and other interesting features. There is a ticket kiosk which sells a small selection for drinks and snacks. A single lavatory is available for the public. Some NT carparking is available but other parking is possible outside.

Wonderfully maintained Dutch Garden in a quiet village. Linda Hill is a great advocate for the National Trust with good knowledge of the garden and the local surroundings

A charming formal water garden, the planting is simple and has impact.
Visit the Tower: A short flight of steps to go up the tower for delightful views across the garden. The tower is decorated and well maintained.
The ponds have large fish which can be clearly seen from the banks.
The fruit from the apple trees was for sell near the exit and I came home delighted with a bag fall of many varieties of fruit for very little.

A very special place tucked away next to the Severn river. A fabulously laid out acreage with canals, straight lines, topiary, vegetables and flowers galore. A LOVELY spot to spend time aside wandering and reflecting. It truly is quietly gripping. The National trust staff member was very helpful and full of useful information.

We spent more than an hour in the garden could have spent more as it was beautiful but unfortunately it started raining heavily so we had to leave. We didn’t eat there.

Can I bring my dogs ?

All dogs are super welcome at Westbury Court Gardens. They need to be on a lead and the black bin for dog bag disposal is to the left and next to the welcome hut in the car park. There are no dog disposal bins in the garden. There is also a dog bowl filled with fresh water every day.

We're staying in Gloucester for a few days later in August. Are NT members so wondered about visiting Westbury Court Garden. Confused about opening times as online and book say 10 - 5 but then "Open Bank Holiday Mondays. Other times by appointment" ? Does anyone know if it can be reached by bus please?

I'm not sure about the bus route, but know that it is open everyday.
