First thing that strikes you about the market building is it's shape. Like a massive clam shell. Mostly fruit and flowers outside. Inside is a cornucopia of fish, cheese, meat, fruit, vegetables etc. Lots of artisan foods. Nice way to pass a couple of hours

in the center of Royan, this Market offers great local products. If you decide to go on a Tuesday, many additional artisans will be there to offer their craft.

We stayed in Royan for 5 days and came here every day for ingredients for picnics. Very friendly vendors with a wide variety of foods. We loved the local cheese (most is soft since it's made with goat's milk), local seafood, croissants, and olives. Note:...More

When you stay on your own boat you can take advantage of this wonderful shopping experience that defines Europe. Great choices for everything that walks, swims, pops out of the ground. Just lots of fun.
