Museum at Waterloo Battlefield would be a better and more descriptive name.... one of the best historical event museums anywhere in the world. It is only three years old as it was built to commemorate two hundred years since that fateful battle that affected so...More

A great place to take guests when you are tired of fighting the traffic to get into Brussels. The location is very nice, and the museum is vastly improved over the previous one there. The audio guides are helpful although you get tired of them...More

You've probably seen this image in photos and on souvenirs many times, so I guess you should see it in person. Not a great experience, but it's OK and I guess you should visit it if you're here.

Cracking day out. The new memorial museum is full of information and hitech gizmos. It takes you underground and explains, with the aid of hand held audio devices, about the French revolution which gave rise to Napoleon. There are some fabulous exhibits of uniforms and...More

First time visiting and wasn't disappointed. The film in the museum is definitely worth a watch. Also worth the walk/bus trip down to Hougoumont Farm, the walk back really helps to give an understanding of the battle field after visiting the museum.

We travelled to Waterloo to climb the stairs and see the lion and battlefields . We arrived and asked the, very rude, lady at the front if we could just see the lion . We were astonished to learn that there was no single ticket...More

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion on your visit. We very much value our visitors sharing their impressions with us. We have observed that many of our visitors received no information about the history of the battle. Some, after...More

The Museum is very well done to include some 4D videos (don't sit too far from the front). The displays of Uniforms and armaments are very impressive. The sole exterior site is a man-made mound with a Lion Statue crowning it. Pack a lunch unless...More

Museum is very interestingly organized. Visitors get an audio guide and by pressing the exhibits code you get an information about it. Although it is a lot of facts it's never boring. You will see plenty of animation and movies. For me the most attractive...More

Have visited Waterloo a number of times but wanted to return to check out the museum that opened in 2015. Very pleased to have done so as it provides a thorough and accessible view of the battle and the events leading up to it. The...More

I have never been so interested in history as I was at this museum. The way the story was told was so clever. You had your own voice guide. There was places you could put the voice guide in and it let you do quizzes....More

I found the visitors centre and museum were excellent. I think doing them at your own pace would be the best thing. You could easily spend 2-3 hrs walking through listening to the self paced tour. After that enjoying the... More
