About
Most Thursdays we hold an acoustic night open to the public. Local musicians play some of their favourite island tunes. It's a perfect way to sit back relax and get to know the locals. You don't have to be a guest at the resort to spectate and enjoy the music - tourists staying all over Siargao come and enjoy the music on a thursday. *Acoustic night happens infrequently in the wet season and is a spontaneous event for when the local musicians feel like they want to jam!

I stopped by there tonight (Thursday) and was told they no longer have acoustic night... I figured I would post and let anyone know, so they don't waste their time like me.

The Mosquitos are one great local band with good repertoire. The place is perfect for an acoustic night.

Amazing!! I'd pay the cost of my room to hear acoustic music like this and it's FREE!! Enjoyed all the variety of music played especially the 80s flashbacks! Was fun to sing out loud and chill with friendly people with a cold San Miguel. The only downside is this happens ONLY every other Thursday, so make sure you have a room at Buddha's or hire a bike and come by!

Buddha's Surf Resort Acoustic Nights are great fun and, on this occasion, was visited by Stephen Lu of Pinoy band Rizal Underground, who had a jamming session a day earlier at Kermit's with local musicians, Midras, Manuel (Wilmer), Inigo and Marlow. A great set also by Midras, Manuel and Marlow, and from local artist and singing sensation Kitya. I would recommend the Acoustic session as a great night out and a great way to meet some of the super fun locals

Held on a Thursday night this is the place to be. The restaurant bar has great food at very reasonable prices but from 8.30pm the chill out bar above the restaurant rocks to the sound of good and not so good music but who cares. Just have fun. Locals come play what they can and jam with anyone with a voice. Huge squidgy sofas and a dance floor. A terrific hang out place where you're sure to make new friends of every nationality.

Marlou and his gang of trouble makers played some fantastic chilled music. Almost the entire surf population turns up, so it's a great night. Get amongst it.

Siargao doesn't have much of a nightlife to offer and there are very few bars. Buddha's on a Thursday night is a must though, every week they have an open mic acoustic night. Locals and tourists jam and play some awesome acoustic music, it's a great way to chill and have a couple drinks after surfing. You can also order food from their Thai restaurant downstairs - I had the Thai veggie yellow curry, yummmmy!
