At the heart of the town of Baler (Aurora) is the QUEZON MEMORIAL PARK, an expansive oasis with grown trees all around providing cool shade (specially during the hot and humid morning we were there) and fresh air as you stroll around the park. Towards the front, there’s an imposing and attention-catching statue of Manuel L. Quezon, the former Philippine President for whom the park was named. It also boasts of the Museo de Baler and a replica of the house where President Quezon was born and lived.

The place was filled with good information about the great history that occurred in Baler. Not much is in the place, its filled with some relics and mostly the history of the area in words

The park is near the museum, church, and former President Quezon's first lady's house. All within walking distance that is good for a quick and relaxing educational tour.

the name of the place connotes some people have been buried here and open for selling memorial lots. nah, the park was just named in memory of the first commonwealth president, manuel l. quezon.
there's a statue of the seated quezon in the foreground, acting like a guard before one enters the museum behind him. the park itself is full of flora, occupying at least a whole block in the heart of baler but still considered small based on standards.
it's free to enter the park but there's not much to explore. the museum commands an entrance fee, though.

This quiet park made in honor of the late president Manuel L. Quezon. It serves as a landmark in Baler as the birth place of the late president.
It's a simple memorial and can be visited anytime.
Nearby, there is a replica of the house where Quezon grew up could be found at Quezon Park (Casa de Maestro Lucio Quezon).

The park is within the same area of the museum and I think it is a good step on the side of the Baler, Aurora local government to exert effort to preserve their town's pride in the form of Manuel Quezon. We stayed in Baler Sunrise Inn which is just few minutes away from the park. You can ride the tricycle to get here. Parking inside the park is not allowed.
