Well worth a visit. Good history and exhibits and gives a fascinating insight into Myanmar and its history - not entirely a balanced view but fascinating nonetheless.

Can get into or onto the helicopters planes tanks etc Nobody cares Free entry with passport. Tons of machines on display. I only went outside. It's huge and probably cost a fortune. Not a great use of money in a poor country

We had a great time wandering around this enormous museum. It is a monument to excess and most of the actual walking is just around the corridors of the buildings. There were hardly any other visitors and the informative and helpful guides in each room...More

This museum is probably one of the largest in the world. Breathtaking and impossible to see everything on foot. The cost of building this palace for the army must have been staggering, a lot of poor people could have been helped with the money that...More

One of the largest I've seen, many buildings, about 45min from Naypyitaw. if you don't try to read everything (most of it is in Myanma). separate building complexes for Army, Navy, Air Force. Don't forget the outside exhibits of airplanes, Ships, Tanks, Artillery etc that...More

For such a country with so many pressing needs I find this vanity project by the Military a bit hard to stomach. But it's free, I spent three hours here, and... I hope this helps: 1. It's a long walk to see everything. If possible,...More

About 30 minutes outside Napyidaw, this is worth a visit if you have an extra weekend in your schedule. It is MASSIVE at 600+ acres, with about a dozen well-maintained buildings divided among the 3 services. Each service did their own curation, so you get...More

Scale of the museum is breath taking as outdoor display of aircrafts and army equipments is amazing. Naval one is limited. the indoor museum is also nice especially the pre-independence section. you need 3-5 hours to see both sections ( indoor/outdoor). In summers, outdoor will...More

Not at the museum. But at the entrance of the compound, you can buy drinks. Won’t recommend the snacks though.
