Quite a unique experience to ride on a railway. The downslope part is quite exciting and the lighting effect in the tunnels are ok. Scenery is not as expected, as the red leaves were not out yet.

This is my favorite raibike park in Korea! They have 3 different locations around the city and we have been to two of those. They are reachable by subway, have different but equally beautiful scenery and are really easy to handle. Nice choice for those who like active resting!

There are two rail bikes near Gapyeong and the reviews and pictures for the one in Gapyeong include both. I could not find a separate review thread for the one in Gangchon which is located a few stations past Gapyeong station. We have done a few rail bikes in Korea and this is by the far the best, it is the most scenic and coolest. The park is located right next to Gimyujeong Station. It also uses the old rail
tracks and ends at the old Gangchon station where a bus takes you back to the start. While everyone starts at the same time, this is not an issue as it is easy to keep space between each rail bike. A few highlights: since you start on a decline, you can go go faster with minimum effort, there is an actual RR crossing and gate that comes down for the bikes to cross over a public road, there a 3 tunnels, one that makes you feel like you are in a Korean Club (lights, music) and one with soap bubbles, after you rail bike along the North Han river on the old tracks you stop and an open car train takes you along the river to the old station. This short train ride is probably one of the most scenic train rides in Korea!
Easy to get to as part of an ITX trip from Seoul to either Nami Island or Chuncheon. Highly recommended. We went during the week so did not need reservations but may need them on weekends and it unclear how easy this for foreign tourists. Rides start every hour 9:00-12:00 and 1:30-5:30 in the summer.

It was cold , and the crowd was fewer than warmer months during Winter.
It was nonetheless super fun for the family. The scenery was good along the rail trail.
They have a train to take you to the end station after 20 mins or so ride.

The rail bike ride was fun even though we were riding whilst it was snowing. You go through several tunnels which were decorated and the second part of the trip was on a slow moving train. Bundle up with heat packs, protect against wind chill factor and you should be fine.

We chose this over the Gangchon Rail bike park because this is a more quieter and less crowded Park.
It was a pity that the trees had already shed their leaves. It would be more beautiful in autumn!

Beautiful scenario during the 40 min ride. However, there is no need to take any photo and the most beautiful parts is yet to come. After the 40 min bike riding, there will be about 10 mins rest time. Be sure to try the fish cake soup. Then followed by 20 mins train ride on the Romance Train.

Because Gapyeong is apparently higher than Seoul, and because we could only get a reservation for the 17:00 ride, it was cold. Fortunately I had the foresight to purchase a woolen hat, that covered my ears, while walking around Gapyeong. However my hands were cold on the return trip.
The ride itself was nice enough, and we really didn’t have to pedal very much. It is autumn now and the leaves are turning colors. My companion on this journey was impressed, but I , who grew up in an area where the leaves change colors, was not.
Despite the nearly cold head, the cold hands, and the not too impressive autumn leaves, it was a novel and pleasant experience, and I recommend to those contemplating doing it.

There are 2 seats and 4 seats bike. We take one 4 seats bike, cheaper than two 2 seats bike. I find that most 3 people family with 1 kid also choose 3 seats bike. It is easy to ride. The whole ride take about 1 hour with a break about 5 minutes at the end stop to let you buy photo taken by the machine when you are riding. We start at 2:00p.m. and finished before 3:30p.m.

Hi we would like to go with 2 adults and 2 children ages 8 & 10 years. Are all 4 of us allowed on a 4er bike or do we have to rent out 2x 2er. I ask this because i read that there is only allowed 1 child per bike. thanks
