this stretch of white beach demands your undivided attention. either you give in to the allure of the azure waters or regret not leaving your foots prints in the sand, which by the way, is not as powdery as that of boracay or palawan.
this is one of the numerous unexploited shoreline in camotes islands. one can't help but enjoy nature's beauty as you try to calm your spirit down from the bustlings of city life.
one can actually rent makeshift villas nearby to protect you from the scorching heat for a minimal fee. you can also take your packed meals inside alá picnic style.
just don't forget to cover your skin with a lot of sunscreen lotion. off you go!

What a spectacular view! The family and I went to visit this place while in the area and I wasn't disappointed! The place looks gorgeous with white sand beaches. I took a lot of pictures but I must say, the pictures didn't do justice on how beautiful this place is. I wish we had time to stay there even for a night but there were places to see and visit. But definitely in my bucket list when we go back there in the future.

During my 4-day stay in Camotes, I visited Santiago beach twice. The first time was in the afternoon and the second was in the morning. If you are looking for a beach in Camotes, Santiago Beach is definitely your best option.
During mid day, the beach is full of tourists, but as I have said in the title, it is quite wide enough to accommodate a lot of tourists that it doesn't get too crowded. There are patches of sea grass but the whole beach is mostly white sand. You can swim, snorkel, skim board, kayak and jet ski around Santiago. Since this beach has no entrance fee, anybody can come here and camp-out. The water is very clear and the sand is still clean.
There are lots of restaurants that serve good seafoods and they are not expensive. Santiago beach is a good place to watch the sunset in Camotes Islands.
The only thing that I did not like about Santiago Beach is that the sand nearer to the parking area is starting to accumulate trash. The community should make an effort to clean up and implement stricter rules. The beach is free, but it shouldn't be an excuse to disregard cleanliness.

I was expecting a lot when I came here since I've heard a lot of good things in this place. Sad thing, I was really disappointed with what I say. The beach was not maintained-very dirty. Plastics every where. The sand in this beach is really nice though. There's also a resto in this beach that I really like. Their servings are really big and it would not even harm your pocket. I just could not remember the name but they had a big blue heart-shaped table. Hehe.
Not so sure if there's something that would make me go back here. Hihi

When dining from one's perch at the elevated Santiago Bay Garden Resort, it is great to look down upon this lovely wide white sand beach that when swimming is indeed sandy underfoot.
The beach was not crowded.
I enjoyed a lovely swim here.
The only discordant note was that one local grill type restaurant had karaoke blaring - and I mean 'blaring' - trying to wreck the serenity of God and Nature's setting.
Why cannot people exist without such intrusive noise?

Santiago White beach is an absolutely amazing beach - more than a kilometer long, pure white sand, very clean, shallow waters, and at least 500 meters broad. The ban is so shallow that you can walk far into the water, without the water coming upto more than your aist level.
When were were here, there were just 4 foreigners, and about 10-15 Filipinos (mostly school children).
Unfortunately i did not have my camera, but you can see photos here - http://philippinebeach.blogspot.com/2008/11/santiago-beach-cebu-philippines.html
Entry fee -
There is an entry fee (to be paid at the ticket office on the right side), but they are cool about it and told me to first enjoy the beach before the sun went down, and I could pay later. The fee is hardly 20 pesos.
Food -
There is a restaurant (mostly Filipino food) next to the ticket counter. you can also eat at Santiago bay garden resort (a big resort just next to the beach)
How to reach -
The beach is located here on Google maps - http://goo.gl/maps/TQlZs
The best landmark is "Santiago bay resort". Camotes does not have trikes, you must take a motorcycle taxi to reach here - seats 3 including the driver and 2 pinion riders, available for day hire and self driving). It is abut 20 minutes from the Causeway (South Poblacion) and 30-40 minutes drive from Mangodlong beach resort
Tip -
Arrive here early so that you can spend at least 1 -2 hours on the beach. Best to arrive either early morning, or 3 pm.
You can see a pure sunset if you wade sufficiently into the water (else the promontory of the resort prevents a direct view of the setting sun)
Activities -
Thankfully, there is not water sports, so you can relax and enjoy the water and beach. Swimming is safe and there are buoys at the edges of the marine sanctuary. I did snorkel, but to be honest, it was not at all good - mostly white bleached corals and a few fish.
Bring -
Just your swim wear, sun glasses, slippers, a change of clothes and sufficient time.

A view of the Santiago White Beach is always breathtaking but if you want to enjoy swimming, make sure it's during high tide. During low tide, you have to walk a good distance before you can actually wade in the waters. The sand is soft and fine. It would have been good if there are regular cleaners in the area because there are garbage floating and washed ashore. Visitors should be responsible too not to throw away their trash anywhere.

The shore was quite a stretch! We arrived at sunset and it was awesome. The sand was nice and so were the local rastafarians! We had 150 peso customized hennas that were totally (really!!) worth it. I also got to purchase an 80 peso anklet (since I collect them). They were very friendly and funny! We also had dinner by the beach and it was also good and affordable.

A wide white sand beach with crystal clear water. I could've spent just hours strolling from one end to another, just admiring the water. The sunset is also quite beautiful and the seaside grills have cheap beer.

What can I say as the title says it all..... you know those great places you find, but you don't want to share as it may spoil it!!! Well this is one, as soon as you get off the ferry head for here as you won't be disappointed, having a long white sandy beach with lots of places to swim (Rock and Seaweed free), there are a few cottages about that you could use for a little shade.
Plenty of places to eat, I used a beachfront eatery just to the right if you were looking to the beach with your back to the parking area, lots of choices with afordable prices too.
Would I go back? Yes for sure and take advantage of the local boat trips Just see Rhudi.
Siutable for all to visit.
