If your biking, walking or running this is a nice place to do all three. The Alpine Pedal Path was designed for biking with 3.2 miles of paved path. Some small hills but mostly flat. It crosses one road and goes by several picnic areas...More

Nice flat path to walk or ride your bike along the lake. Even though the lake is extremely low it is still close enough to enjoy the lake views. A great path to walk on if you are not a hiker or in great shape.

This is a nice paved path. You can walk, run or bike. It mild with little incline so suitable for most. Our dogs loved it. There is a spot with picnic tables and ducks.

This is a beautiful walk for couples, groups, or families. You can even take a bike ride on this path. I usually walk it. Bring your camera because there are lots of photo opportunities!

It's my go to place when I want to take a walk (as opposed to a hike) in Big Bear. It's about 5 miles round trip, partially shaded, with minimum elevation gain.

The Alpine Pedal Path was re-done this spring/summer with new paving and bridges. This is a nice path for both bicycling and walking.

Many people had dogs with them. However, the pavement can get really hot and some had doggie shoes (or socks) on their paws to help. Would highly recommend doing that as well. Make sure to bring plenty of water as well. As... More
