The Cathedral is splendid, and so are the gardens around the Cathedral, which feature "The largest Rosary in the World". A very peaceful place, and well worth visiting. The people who tend the site are very helpful, kind and polite. I'm glad I went there.

Besides being at a beautiful church, the Rosary is in a very tranquil setting, surrounded by tropical plants.

Wonderful place if your looking for Peace! It's near the downtown area, problems with transportation? no car? not a problem! trike from the city centre knows this place very well, drivers are very honest, fare is very cheap! they'll be surprise and happy if you give them extra... They'll humble say thank you in return.
since you visited this place, try also to respect religion, (effin don't wear short shorts and labas kaluluwa shirt, you know what I mean!) this is a house of worship so please visit this place with respect and offer your Prayers.

The Rosary Garden is found at the back of the new Christ the King Cathedral. It is simply amazing, each bead weighs so heavy. It reminds us of our devotion to Mama Mary. it is not just a tourist attraction but a reminder of our catholic faith.

Amazing! Large beads that can be compared to a big cut-tree trunk a piece. I am happy to see this largest rosary as documented in the Guinness book of world records. My dutch friend was likewise amazed. We enjoyed and went around for more discovery. The rear view of the cathedral that looks like a castle. Great place indeed.

On Christmas Day 2012 we loaded up the van with family & friends and headed to Tagum City as a spur of the moment trip to go to the new Gaisano Mall. We wound up taking a quick side trip just off the highway to see the Rosary behind the Christ The King Cathedral - and although I had seen it listed online before - I had no idea how impressive it would be.
My honey & her cousin told me it was the largest Rosary in the Philippines - but they did not know if it was also the largest in the world. Of course I had to Google it - and found an article that explained:
"An 85.5-meter-long rosary, made of linked beads, lines a pathway going to the giant bronze statue of the Risen Christ."
"Tagumeños, as locals from the city are called, are hoping the Guinness Book of World Records would officially recognize it as the world’s largest prayer beads."
"We are hoping that it will soon be declared as the largest Roman Catholic rosary in the whole world," said Edwin B. Lasquite, the city information officer II."
The article goes on to list a rosary in Brazil and another in Egypt that are currently listed in the record book - but this one is actually much bigger then either of them.
The huge bronze statue of the Risen Christ towers above in a beautifully maintained garden setting that makes for a pleasant view as well as a perfect photo opportunity.
The Christ The King Cathedral is also an impressive site, showcasing a beautiful blend of modern and classic architecture. On the outside, it reminded me a bit of the story book style castles I had seen in Holland and in fairy tales. Inside the church, I was overwhelmed with the immense size of the temple and the high ceiling,
It is just a short distance off the main highway, and only a couple miles from the new mall, which makes it very easy to combine several activities into a quick trip just as we did.
Whether you are visiting Tagum City, just passing through, or looking for a destination or attractions to see on your next trip - this is definitely worth visiting.

We went here june 2011. The rosary indeed was big and the place is scenic. Every bead of the rosary is bigger than a head. It is actually in a church so i do not advice making noises and taking tons of photos. Must see to believe. ;)

For the visitors of Tagum City, this is a place to see...a grand sculpture of the Risen Christ, the "World's Largest Rosary" and a garden aptly designed. A place to appreciate religion...faith and the personal wonders...the little miracles experienced on a daily basis. The place puts importance on the nurturing relationship of the Son to His Mother - a value that is deeply connected to the Filipino culture.

It is located in the heart of Tagum City. A very solemn place, nice and clean surrounding. Don't leave Tagum City without visiting this place.
