The house filled with interesting things, however the lady who runs it (or is a part of the family) is very strict on what she shows and is not interested in questions about the artifacts. She takes you around the house in 10-15 minutes. No...More

Well worth a visit. The size is spectacular. The decay also. The house is kept clean but the climate is taking its toll. We could only visit 1 half (the larger house).

A good place to see if ur interested in Goan History and rich heritage of its people. Not easily accessible by public transport , recommend to use ur own transport.

Certainly worth a visit, though at IR 150 each it is still good value even if it it is more expensive than Fernandez which is excellent value at IR 100.

It is a well maintained house but not worth all the hype at all. The caretaker of the house is extremely rude and only cares about the contribution (forced) you make towards the end. We felt cheated as the entrance fee or the so called...More

We visited this 150 yr old house, half a section of which is converted to a museum of sorts . A housekeeper pockets 100 rupees per person and lets you in for the guided tour. It's not the information anecdotes which are charming but the...More

Upon arrival, we were welcomed into this exquisite family home, full of beautiful furniture and artefacts. A very personalised and friendly tour by the people who live and work at the house.

An interesting historical building with the biggest private library in Goa. A small info guide/hand out on the house would have been useful. Good on them for trying to keep the place going.
