When you go up the stairs from the entrance, go to the right side, the Perreira side, the descendant is friendly and allows photos and to touch and sit on furniture. The ballroom is also beautifully restored. He has a wealth of knowledge and knows...More

The house filled with interesting things, however the lady who runs it (or is a part of the family) is very strict on what she shows and is not interested in questions about the artifacts. She takes you around the house in 10-15 minutes. No...More

Well worth a visit. The size is spectacular. The decay also. The house is kept clean but the climate is taking its toll. We could only visit 1 half (the larger house).

Upon arrival, we were welcomed into this exquisite family home, full of beautiful furniture and artefacts. A very personalised and friendly tour by the people who live and work at the house.
