Worth a visit if you are in the area. Most parts of the exhibit are free. Not a destination, IMHO, but if you’re visiting the Haskell Free Library and Opera House, a tour can easily be incorporated.

The Granite Exhibit Museum is a look back at the history of the area and all the granite quarries that it contains. In the same building is a wonderful collection of thousands of Lionel model trains along with a working railway system.

Even if you have no real interest in model trains you will be more than pleased taking a tour through this museum AND the granite museum in the same building. Don't miss the city tour either!

Great little museum about granite (we didn’t visit train expedition). Knowledgeable guided tour, speaks good English. Also go for the free Stanstead guided tour – interesting and informative.

This museum is simply beautiful. The granit pieces are absolutely breathtaking and the quality of the train exposition and collection is impeccable. This is a must when visiting Stanstead!
