We know Patrick Reyntiens very well and he regards this as perhaps one of the best things he has done. He did the Catholic cathedral in Liverpool and the remarkable war memorial window in Coventry cathedral as well. Those were with Sir John Piper and...More

This isn't a destination place but worth popping into if you're passing. The windows are colourful and there is an aura of peace and tranquility, as you'd expect.

Pretty nice church, small yet beautiful frescoes. Can be viewed in 10-15 minutes maximum. Location: near the centre.

Hard to criticize a religious institution but I have to in this case. Not much to see and very austere.

Rebuilt from the war, I thought St. Martin's was not your typical church. I appreciated the simplicity of the interior, devoid of ornament. The stained glass windows, which are quite nice, would best be viewed in the morning hours.

But don't bother wasting your time going inside - it's a wasteland! Bare and ugly - what else can one say - no comparison to the beautiful churches of nearby villages, like Beilstein for instance.

I was taken back with the emptiness of the walls, starkness of the main Church. (Yes, said a few prayers). Then, appreciated the 3 stained Windows in the side altar. Look at the photos here as they ate representative (no need to add). Also, the...More

A haven in a bustling town centre in which to spend a thoughtful moment. Sparse on first impression, you will soon be drawn to the striking stained glass windows. Not for everyone but if you need a quiet break away from a day in town...More
