While on a Viking Cruise we stopped in Cochem to visit Reichsburg Castle (worth visiting) and had free time to take in this quaint town on the river. Loved the colorful town, half timbered buildings, fountains, etc. and enjoyed stopping to visit this interesting church....More

A lot of German churches were damaged in the World Wars, however some have replaced their stain glass. Here the stain glass is now very modern, but quite colourful.

This isn't a destination place but worth popping into if you're passing. The windows are colourful and there is an aura of peace and tranquility, as you'd expect.

Rebuilt from the war, I thought St. Martin's was not your typical church. I appreciated the simplicity of the interior, devoid of ornament. The stained glass windows, which are quite nice, would best be viewed in the morning hours.
