The Dom is on a high hill overlooking Freising. Once you climb/walk to the top and enter the courtyard you'll be surrounded by white baroque style churches and buildings. At the opposite end of the entrance there is an overlook of the opposite side of...More

Charming place. Nice to walk around and explore the history of these Bavarian towns. Could have stayed longer in the region if I had known.

The interior of this church is much more intricate than the outside would suggest. It is a gorgeous building, and be sure to check out the crypt and chapel below the main altar. Definitely worth the climb to the top of the hill.

Very enjoyable just to stroll around this little town square and look at all the bear statutes. Small shops nearby but if you are here on Sunday most shops are closed. Some restaurants still open

The chuch is up in a hill and it takes some effort to go there walking but it is worth it. It has been carefully restored and you will be surprised to see the inside given the unassuming and simple outside look.

Painted walls and ceiling - recently completely and beautifully restored - like the Sistine Chapel without the crowds of tourists. Don't miss it if you are in Freising.

Pope Benedict XVI was ordained as a Priest here. Stunning Rococo interior...some paintings were damaged in the 20's however they have been restored.

Immaculate church on top of the hill. Has been visited by Pope Benedict in 2006. Pleasant walk up the cobblestone walkways. Literature available in the church.

Basically it is quite easy to find because it is the tallest building, located on a hill. You can see it from far away, it is easy to find.
