We picked up the little train in front of the Allstadt Passengen market and it took us up to the castle. Commentary was in German. It was on time. I loved it.

We enjoyed the Bimmelbahn and used the 50 cent coupon in the booklet you get with your tourist tax. It was a fun and comfortable way to get up to Wernigerode Castle. It would be nice if the narration were both in German and English....More

Bimmelbahn interresting when you do not want to read about this lovely Place. The driver tells you the History in short Form and Leads you in ancient times.

Necessary if you have old, bad legs to get to the Castle, a bit bumpy over the cobbles but an easy way to see a bit of the Town. Cost 5 euros return.
