One of the oddities of the town of Limburg. Shows the artists concept of the 7 deadly sins of mankind. On a narrow alley in the center of town. Worth a couple of pictures

I agree with the other reviews, don't make the trip to Limburg just to see this building, but it is worth seeking out if you are already there. We found it very interesting and had fun trying to figure out which statue was for each...More

I was expecting some sort of great feature or building, however it is so insignificant we wlaked by it 3 times. Its just 7 faces of sin carved into some wood of the roof beams of an old building. Dont go out of the way...More

In Limburg, there are better half-timbered houses Limburg is one of the major half-timbered cities in Germany. However, the half-timbered "House of the seven deadly sins," I, unlike many others, do not like. Simply, it’s location is very good - on the fork of the...More

We stumbled onto this after we looked at some other tourist stuff around the area and had some lunch. Personally, I think it was neat to see but I'm not sure if I would go out of my way for it.

Short walk from Limburg’s old bridge, you’ll find this unique half-timbered house… As an extra feature, on the side of the house are seven wood sculpted heads which stand for the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, sloth. At the first sight,...More

Look at this extraordinary house near the river Lahn, the old bridge and only some minutes uphill to the famous DOM. Admire the seven special sculptures, that show the seven sins.

This was a very interesting building with a great story of how it became. The entire town is filled with very old and cool buildings. The architecture is fun. Many half-timbered homes on cobblestone streets.

While we were walking we encountered an unusual half-timbered home dating from the 16th century, called the House of 7 Deadly Sins. That house is decorated with many strange sculptures on its facade, illustrating the 7 deadly sins, which are: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger,...More
