The bridge dates back to Roman times, but of course is not the original any more. What is special is the chapel in the first pillar - unfortunately not easy to visit.

Walk along the Nahe from Bingen and you will find a hidden treasure, the Drusus bridge. A beautiful and peaceful pace where it feels as if time has paused for a breath. Spent a lovely afternoon slowly and quietly walking there, and returned to Bingen...More

just a bridge across a little river (Nahe) considered it is been always been here, at least come 2000 years or so...
