Nice little tower on an island in the Rhein. Not anything major except the story around the oppressor (Hatto) trying to avoid his upset citizenry by hiding in the tower, legend says mice swam out to the tower and ate him! What's not to like.

The tower can be seen from either river bank. It is located just downstream from the Binger Loch, a man-made passage in the submerged rocks that enables freight vessels to pass the rocks.

Mäuseturm is possible to visit only with a special tour and by boat. It is not really worth to make a special effort to go inside, unless you are interested in Rhine river traffic regulation. Enjoy it from the part on the Bingerbrück side, but...More
