While almost everything thing was closed on Mondays in Celle I appreciated very much the chance to see this museum. The historical collections are well explained, unfortunately my foreign colleague had to rely on my translation, as only very few explanations in English were given.

This museum has nothing really spectacular, but offers interesting and varied exhibits giving glimpses into many facets of local life and history. There are a couple of rooms for temporary exhibitions as well.
