Of course you are going to visit the Dom Cathedral, so this is RIGHT THERE on the left side of the structure, with a separate entrance, with a small gift shop. There is a modest charge (Dom is free). Five visits to Bamberg and finally...More

While there is a fee for the museum while the church is free it is included in the Bamberg Card. The museum has wonderful holy outfits and artifacts from through the ages. Enjoy!

This is most definitely a must see. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I toured the city and found the people very warm and friendly. I took so many pictures because there was so much beauty and sites that I wanted to have lots to...More

I felt the best way to understand the area a little is to not only take the guided tour of the Cathedral but also visit this great museum that houses some of Europes oldes Royal textiles (I work with textiles so that is very interesting...More

I was deeply impressed by the huge silk robes embroided so skillfully with golden threads, absolutely amazing. How many women and how many hours did it take to make such a robe? There is also a unique collection of valuable liturgical objects, relics, golden heavy...More

The museum is worth a visit, particularly on cold, windy days! First, housekeeping: 4 Euro fee is paid at the small gift shop which is directly inside the door, restrooms off that room, bags including handbags are required to be placed in lockers (free), no...More

Diocesian Museum interesting for artifacts well presented and its information on Clement II. Probably not for the casual visitor. It is a typically quiet and serene venue. Good for a break on a snotty winter's day.
