This place has a collection of stuff that spans pre-historic times (lots of fossils) up to World War II. But, all the descriptions are only in German. There is a booklet that has a few words in English about each room. There is a film...More

This is an excellent museum that details the history of the area. As someone who doesn't speak German or Swiss-German, I found it difficult to take in all the information. I have a translation app on my phone but phones are not allowed in the...More

Interesting museum for history buffs, mainly focusing on 12th-19th centuries, but also including a big room at the end describing WW2 in the Bodensee region. Only downside is that, besides the subtitled movie, everything is aimed at a German speaking audience and none of the...More

I spent a short time in the Museum and was sorry as it deserves to be explored more comprehensively, It has some very interesting exhibits and if you are interested in history you will find it informative.

The museum is very small and is hosting an interesting collection of manufacturers and models showing the history Konstanz. As it is now the 600th anniversary of the Konzil, there is the chance to see a short movie (18min) on the Council and why Konstanz...More

Konstanz has a rich history and this museum does a good job of giving an introduction to the city's significance as well as the Bodensee region. There is a significant amount of information on the Council of Constance.

If you would like to see the original cronicle by Ulrich Richenthal and even flip through a facsimile, you shouldn't miss the Rosgartenmuseum.
