If you love to rdide, Brenda’s Mas St. George’s is the place! First, Brenda does offer short walking rides for less experienced riders or those who want a one day ride. This review does not address those. We chose the 5 day Camargue ride to immerse ourselves in the real Camargue ... the horses, the people, the landscape, the way of life, and lots of riding. We were thrilled with our week in the countryside. Each day we were greeted with good, strong coffee, bread and jams (with gluten-free rolls for me) on the covered porch. Then we met and saddled “our” horses, mounted up, and were off for a day or a half day of riding the Camargue countryside, marshes and beaches.Carolyn, our principle guide, was superb, a marvelous rider and competent and careful with her charges. Brenda is a Brit expatriate, which also helped us a lot! On our rides, we had glorious blue sky days, gallops on the beaches and backroads, saws hundreds of flamingoes and shore birds, and were met for lunch breaks by the staff with water, wine and hearty country fare. Dinners, too, were traditional French foods such as Beef Bourguignon, ratatouille (gluten-free for me ...thanks, Brenda!) and, did I mention wine? If you need air conditioning, white linen tablecloths, personal grooms, a company that caters to Americans, and slow walks for a week on white horses, you might want another ride. If you can ride and want to become and take home a part of the Camargue, choose Brenda’s 5-day ride!…
