Calais lighthouse was built in the 19th century and is 51 metres high, it is fairly close to the port. You can enter and climb the 271 steps to the top, entrance is €2.50

A really old fashioned lighthouse overlooking the harbour. Looks really impressive from a distance away.

When we arrived at Calais, we noticed the light from a lighthouse. It was quite brightly. It was easy to find where the light came from. The lighthouse was quite beautiful, all in white and it was tall too. No wonder that it's light shone...More

On a clear day you MAY see the White Ciffs from the top of the tower. It is quite a climb and only do it if you are very fit, The extensive views are superb anyway.Enjoy!
