I never knew that Calais had such a fantastic beach. When we visited there were little cabin / market stall and eateries along the promenade. Plenty of showers / taps for washing off sand etc. Clean wc facilities. Beach has life guard patrols. Approx 5...More

This long beach has clean golden sands. The sand shelves slowly, making it safe for children. This is the Channel, so water is never going to be particularly warm. There are lots of beach huts but they seem to be privately owned.

Calais beach is spacious, sandy and very scenic. You have a selection of beach huts as well. Would be ideal for sunbathing. Wasn’t quite sunbathing weather, but a pleasure to stroll around the beach and admire the fine views.A good stop off point for ice cream.🍦 😀

There are major works changing the seafront which detracts from the appeal of the beach. Hope they finish before the end of the season but does not look hopeful

What a great beach. The beach is very long, wide and clean, perfect for walking along the shoreline. Abundant parking is located close by.

The beach is extremely long and perfect for a winter walk in the clean air away from the town centre. There is also a long pier that is used by local fishermen and various stalls along the way providing hot and cold drinks and snacks....More
