This is a fun and intriguing museum to visit. Amiens is very proud of Jules Verne and with good reason. His published works are impressive, but so is his house - as you go up higher, it gets more and more fantastical. The group of...More

Visited here last month (I was in Amiens for the European Science Fiction convention so it was a must do thing) Well worth a visit even if you have only a passing interest of the writings of Jules Verne

A fascinating insight into his life and work and also of Amiens in his time. Staff were very helpful to my wife in assisting with the elevator to avoid the steep spiral staircases.

Unfortunately, it was closed when we were there! We took some pictures of the outside & walked through the park along the road. The Jules Verne statue is in the park.

Spent some time in the Jules Verne Museum house, it’s wonderful, it has been looked after so well, a joy to wander around, spiral staircase was a bit of a worry but I mastered it. A must see if you have time

The museum is well set out, informative and has a lot of Jules Verne memorabilia. Lovely period furniture. Make sure you get to the attic, above the third floor. It is the best part of the house.

This is a stunning exhibit in a very nice house. Not to be missed whilst staying in Amiens. Just a short walk from the centre and well translated if you're English speaking.

The anniversary of Jules Verne’s classic, Around the World in 80 Days, makes this year the perfect time to visit Amiens. His original house is now a museum and provides a great overview of his life. Museum staff are bilingual, friendly and helpful. Museum guides...More
