Glad we made the effort to come down to that area of Amiens. We didn't see it during the day, but it was very busy and pretty at night time with the illuminations along the quays. Then we went to see the light show in...More

Visited the area having seen a description in tourist information detailing restaurants, boutiques and craft workshops situated in ‘the Venice of the north’. What we found were endless pubs and bars (which were all closed at 6pm!) and a rather run down, scruffy looking area....More

This is an interesting area in Amiens, although for visitors is mainly the bars and restaurants along one strip. Don’t forget to look up at the cathedral on the other side of the water as it looks like a backlot so pretty.

Lots of selections to chose from in the St Leu area. It is right on the water and very popular and busy place. I would highly recommend eating and spending time in this area. Right behind it is the 'old town' of Amien which makes...More

This area of Amiens is down by the River Somme and is the prettiest area in town. Lots of lovely old traditional houses and narrow cobbled streets. At night the area is lively with restaurants and bars. Well worth a visit.

This is a lovely part of town to wander and sight see. If you want lunch be aware most places close by about 2.30.

Nice to walk through in the evening when it is lit up and people are eating at the restaurants. Quaint, nice houses and small canals but nothing special.

Beautiful walk through the buildings, and cobbled streets. Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Thursday and Saturday are students nights so it’s very busy, but still able to get a table.

Amazing the number of places that use that title ? While Amiens may have a canal or two I don't think they can claim the victory ? Nice enough but very busy with cars, trucks & buses buzzing past and frankly it was pretty dirty...More

Beautiful ,quaint buildings that look almost tudor style.Lovely little canals with loads of fine restaurants along the banks. Only reason for not giving five stars was price charged in these upmarket eating places.Must visit but don't eat there if on a budget.
