We drove the A75 from Clermont-Ferrand to Montpelier. The road was in wonderful condition. The beauty of the hills and valleys of this region was breathtaking. The €10.40 fee for the Viaduct was the only toll fee between C-F and the A-9 at Montpelier. Although...More

The Millau Viaduct has fascinated me since they started to build it, I never thought I would actually see it for real, and what a sight it was. It's monumental size coupled with the design and the vultures circling nearby, make it a must visit....More

Wow, this structure exceeds my expectations. Have known of this phenomenal piece of engineering for some time and has been a ‘must visit’ for years. Warning - allow at least 3 hours to do it justice as the exhibition takes time. One is in absolute...More

Despite suffering from extreme discomfort on high structures, the viaduct is such an amazing construction that I almost failed to notice the height as we drove across.

Obviously an amazing Bridge. The viewing platform provides really a really good place to see the bridge (well it should really…). The service area/info centre is possible the prettiest service area you will visit with the walkways surrounded by wildflowers. The info centre gives you...More

We tried to hike under the viaduct but lost the trail. So we viewed it from multiple directions and distances while hiking the area, then drove beneath and looked closely at the piers. Also visited very interesting exhibit about the construction of the bridge.

The visitors centre, has a very informative centre, explaining construction aspects of the bridge, with a short film. The toilets, and the restaurant, were well kept, clean, and a good selection of food was available in the latter. The short walk to the viewing point, was well worth the time and...More

From a brief 'Google', it appears that tours may operate from Toulouse but there is no mention of any from Millau itself. We were in a car so didn't have that problem.

The closest main airports to Millau are at Rodez, Toulouse and Montpellier. I have flown from Standsted to Toulouse on several occassions and hired a car to get to Millau. From Rodez their is public transport.
