Very nice and partly interactive museum for kids - but not cheap...
Jul 2019
Nature Bornholm does an excellent job at explaining the island's natural history through nice, parly interactive, exhibits - I can see other reviewers being rather criticial - we, including a 7-year old, thought it was awesome, including the guides that had stories to tell about everything - in Danish, English and German.

It is rather expensive, though, and other reviewers are right - the café is bad...

Very good interactive museum
Aug 2018 • Solo
This natural historical museum takes you back in time (1.7 billion years!). First in a short movie and afterwards by interesting exhibits (some interactive) from the periods visualized in the movie. Moreover, the site offers different workshops, especially in the high season.

For the history and science lover
Aug 2017 • Family
For the adult as well as the child, maybe mainly for the child. Lots of activities for children! Lots of do it yourself instead of only reading on signs. A bit in the expensive end, and should probably be a little cheaper for adults :)

Good Exhibition, lousy 'cafe', so-so building
Jul 2017 • Family
Came here to learn and experience something about Bornholm's past and get some lunch as we were starving. Exhibition was pretty good
but the so called cafe was a huge disappointment serving some microwaved panini sandwiches and the likes.

VERY expensive in relation to value
Aug 2016 • Family
Nature Bornholm is an ambitious extempt to explain the national history of Bornholm. It does succeed in glimpses, but it is difficult to understand the overall narrative. Some of the attractions are strange. The entrance cave is frigjtening for small children. So is the filmatic timetravel with earthquake chairs. All is nicely displayed and the building itself it designed by famous Henning Larsens Archtects. But after about two hours we left with a feeling that it is a rip-off (very expensive) and that we are not much wiser. I cannot recommend it.

Commercial take on natural history
Aug 2016 • Family
We were excited to find out more about dinosaurs and traces from the past at Bornholm. The visiting centre is far too commercial though and lack the charm of diving into history.
The film about Bornholm followed by a trail through pictures, texts and a few objects is slightly highlighted by some living crocodiles and various insects and reptiles on display.
All in all the experience was quiet expensive for a family of four and left us less than fulfilled and inspired.
Might be one of few choices for vacating families on a rainy day, but we will not be back.

Cool museum
Aug 2016 • Friends
This is more of a childrens activity place. But it was interesting. Big price for a small amount of things to do in my opinion thou. Recommended for families with kids between 5-15 years old.

Try it when you are on Bornholm
Jul 2015 • Family
Very nice museum where you can see a goblet fossil a.o. If you are on Bornholm with children then you should go to Nature Bornholm . It is not like other museums.

Nice visit at Naturbornholm
May 2016 • Family
It's quite a small place but having that said, it's still worth the visit. The exhibitions are very good and interesting, there are staff at the exhibitions so you can ask questions and the staff is very interested and helpful. Our kids, age 4 & 6 really liked the place. We went for the dinosaurs, also small exhibition as well but the kids were happy anyway. Really small cafeteria so bring your own food.

Thank you for the good remarks. It is small (3000 m2 inside), but large for Bornholm. And we are building a new dinosaur exhibition outside, so you must come back for more. It will open in the beginning of June 2016. And you are right it is a small café, therefor it is allowed to eat and drink food you brought yourself. Have fun, and come back. René, NaturBornholm

Good for a rainy day.
Jul 2015 • Family
We were in Natur Bornholm on a very rainy day and spend 3 hours at the place. We were highly entertained and educated in the different areas inside the building. The ticket was part of a multiticket we bought for 5-6 sights. Hence the price seemed fair.
