This was the first chateau we visited on our trip to France and it didn’t disappoint. You enter via an impressive entrance and proceed into a large courtyard. Here you can climb the towers to get a good view of the surrounding area. Venture further...More

The chateau is well worth the visit. We had visited this chateau many years ago and looked forward to this one. The improvements to the visitor experience are fantastic. Audio guides animations in many rooms in the towers. Well worth the 8.50 ticket.

We spent a lovely afternoon here exploring the castle and the town. Definitely one of the best castles we have seen, lots of information for adults and kids alike. Well worth a visit and the picturesque surrounding town is worth the walk around also.

Lots to see and explore, great audio commentary which explains what you're looking at at various points. Great views from the towers. Great place to visit.

We planned a one hour visit, but stayed two hours and still hadn't seen it all. We took the audio-guide and just strolled at our own pace, discovering the rich history of Brittany. We listened to the kid's version of the guide, giving us all the...More

Visited while we were on holiday. Very impressed with the Fort, set in a historic town. A little expensive for what you see, but there is free English commentary available. Not much for young children to do

What an amazing place! This castle is full of charm and wonderful views. I visited with my 6-year-old son and we agreed that it was amazing. It was well worth the detour!

We were looking for a place to break our journey to the ferry in Cherbourg and this perfectly fit the bill. Our two year old loved running around the castle and climbing the ramparts - the light and sound shows were excellent. We didn’t use...More

Wouldn't be surprised if dogs were not allowed but best check on the w/site. The French are getting very strict about not letting them in to public places these days.
