This is surrounded by the Ville d'Hiver on the East, South and West, and was once home to the casino, which has long since burnt down. There are splendid views of Arcachon, but the park itself does not have outstanding flora. Nonetheless, it is pleasant...More

Lovely park for an afternoon stroll with wonderful views oer the Bassin. An elevator takes you up from the downtown or down to the downtown if you wish to park up there.

This was a surprising treat. Highly recommended for its calm and beauty and views over the town. There is a choice of lift or steps up and it is so central that there is nothing to stop from visiting. One can only be grateful to...More

We stopped by on our way to the Winter town on a blissful Spring day after the rain. One would normally point that the rain had cleared the air but Arcachon doesn't really need it since the air is as clean as it can possibly...More

The Parc Mauresque got its name from the Casino Mauresque (a style from North Africa in vogue in the late 19th century). The Casino burned (arson?) 40 years ago. But the park is magnificent, has a nice playground, and a great view over the Bassin...More

Arcachon has so many fantastic sites with gorgeous views; this park is not bad, but .. when your eyes are spoiled, you become more critical. If you are in the vicinity, fine, visit it. But don’t make a detour

Worth the hike up the hill to a quiet parc with great views of Arcachon and Bassin d'Arcachon. Playground for children, traditional fishing boat for viewing only with benches for a picnic. One may watch a Pétanque game in progress.

This park is perfect to pack a picnic, sit in the shade under the trees and watch your little ones swing and play. Lovely bike/horses to rent during the high season. There is also an enclosed part for dogs to run free.

Arcachon iis a great town, but it isn't fulll of major sites, so this park is just a nice distraction if you like to wander.

Walking from the town there is a climb, not too difficult, however, there is a lift if you need it. Nice park, and a reminder of Arcachons gentile past.
