We were on the jetty basically to board the ferry over to Cap Ferret. It is a nice pier, NO fishing etc. on this one, That is allowed just at the next pier. Very busy with all the ferry boats taking folks to different parts...More
At the entrance to the pier are footprints of French yachtsmen, (similar to the walkway of stars in Hollywood). I don't know the pier's length, but it goes out a fair distance, enough to give good panoramic views of the seafront.

Enjoyed a walk along the promenade and Jetty after lunch. The carousel restored from 1900 is interesting. It is the only double story carousel we have seen.
The views of the bay and surrounds are good from the jetty.
