The synagogue testifies to the town's Jewish past, which fortunately has not been interrupted by 1940-45. It is a still active synagogue, of simple beauty.

In the middle of all the Alsatian towns, with their skylines dominated by the spires of their Churches, it was interesting to find this synagogue, with Hebrew Scriptures written on the arch over the entrance. This attests to the diversity and tolerance of this town....More

The Synagogue was built in 1872 and it's got a Neo-Romanesque architecture. The Façade was made from red bricks while the entrance was made with white and red bricks. Above the entrance door there is a rose window, very similar to the one at St....More
