Worth popping in for a bit of free culture. It’s based right in the centre of Mulhouse. The building itself is beautiful from the outside.

Definitely worth popping into if you're in Mulhouse centre, and it's free. Most memorable for me were the magnificent old tiled stoves for room heating, and the model of the poor woman punished for being a gossip - a heavy clay (?) head was hung...More

The museum is situated in the city center and it is well documented and displayed. The only criticism I have is that the history was only in French. However, it was pretty easy to navigate and understand. Well done, especially for it to be free.

Very powerful building, stands out even when over shadowed by the cathedral. Museum inside is free however there isn't much text in English, I wouldn't let that put you off, it is free after all!

The museum is situad in the magnificent "Hôtel de ville"built in 1552. It tell the history of Southern Alsace and the Ancient independent republic of Mulhouse.
